In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.

I thought it was a saying. A clever way of saying that a little knowledge or power, a small advantage over everyone else, would make the world of difference. It could be the game changer, between a serf or a king.

I never thought it was part of a country’s history.

In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king. But it was not always so. There was a time where the land of the blind was called by another name, Camelot.

King Arthur had died almost a hundred year prior. The Knights of the Round Table had passed into legend. The golden age only lingered in the minds of the very elderly. It was a different time now, the age of the darkness loomed.

With no clear heir to the throne, chaos ruled over the kingdom. Violence and death replaced the peace and life that flourished under Arthur.

It was in this sick atmosphere that a wizard came up from the North, a man that studied under the same teacher as Merlin. His name was Ciaran , and he would become the one-eyed King.
